The results are in, and our race for Wisconsin's 7th Congressional District was called in favor of Michael Alfonso. I called Michael last night and congratulated him.

On behalf of all of us at Team Clark, I want to extend our warmest and most sincere thanks to everyone of the hundreds of people who have supported our campaign in so many different ways. Together we HAVE made a difference.

We launched this campaign knowing we wouldn’t have millions to spend and knowing we’d have to earn every dollar and every vote. We knew we had a long journey to make with voters and we knew that none of it would be easy. But we made that journey with style and grace.

It’s worth looking at the big picture to see how far we’ve come. For a seat won by a 26% margin in 2024, we moved the needle and closed the distance to a win by more than ½.

In the process we built a stronger and broader coalition than we have seen in many years here in Northern Wisconsin. And that coalition lives on and that’s only going to get stronger.

We can be proud that our efforts helped contribute to strong Democratic majorities in Congress, and in Madison.

So I’m asking all our supporters today to make a promise: Let’s hold elected officials of all parties in Washington, and in Madison accountable for a government that’s constitutional, fair, and moral.

And let’s rest up and go back tomorrow, or the next day, to the work of being citizens and members of an incredible community.

Together we’ve created a movement that will last as long as we continue to invest in this work together.
